Michael Bertolini is the Lead Choreographer and Show Designer for Gateway Fireworks Displays. Mike is a Master Pyrotechnician with over 25 years in the industry. Mike has been on the cutting edge of choreography since first learning to choreograph using a tape player and pin board over 20 year ago. Since that time Mike has become a Design Master and accomplished in using the latest in sound editing and display choreography programs.

Gateway Fireworks features the FirewOne digital pyrotechnic firing systems. The FireOne systems represent the leading technology in pyrotechnic firing hardware and choreography software programs. Mike’s mastery of the FireOne scripting and choreography programs has made it possible for him to design any fireworks effect imaginable.

Mike has an extensive portfolio of major programs that includes among them; Fair Saint Louis, Chicago Navy Pier, Disney World, Six Flags Saint Louis and many many more. Mike perfected a technique of using a mixture of aerial shells, special low level effects and close proximate devices that create a level of excitement and intensity, bar none. Also his technique of using the close proximate devices at the appropriate times during the program give it a sense of extreme precision unparalleled in the industry.

Mikes extensive knowledge of fireworks ranges from product to development to show design. His familiarity with the wide range of product offered by various manufactures, makes it possible for him to locate and obtain virtually any effect needed to create the perfect moment in the display.
